How to make a Home Page

  • First, You Open Notepad
    Click on "start", "programs", "accessories", "notepad"

  • Second, type in the following (under the line)

  • Third, click on "file" and then click on "save as" and type in "mypage.html"

    You have just created a web page!

  • Fourth, go to HTMLgoodies and go thru the tutorials, you will be an expert in no time. Of course you will probably want to add graphics and a good place to start is AndyArt, he has lots of FREE graphics you can use on your web page.

  • Fifth, when you have your page ready to upload on the internet, you will need an FTP program. We recommend WS_FTP which you can get at Tucows, it is a shareware program. OR, you can put it on a disk (or send it by email) to the ORTRACKM office and we will be glad to upload it on the 'net for you.
