MYRTLE PRESENT
Howdy! We would like to tell you a little bit about present day Myrtle.
We are a small, unincorporated town in southern Missouri, almost on the Arkansas border. There are less than 100 people in the town itself but more than 250 stops on our mail route.
This is a mostly agricultural area with cattle, hogs, and logging comprising the majority of our industry.
It is VERY rural here - but we LIKE it that way! There are many folks who came here specifically to "get out of the fast lane" and who wanted to retire in a friendly, comfortable atmosphere. What we lack in industry, we more than make up for in hospitality. Our PEOPLE are our most important resource.
